12 Stuff Ups of Christmas

Today was actually awesome. I had (half) hoped that I would get a phone call to work but when that never came I decided to put a call out for friends who also weren’t working to join me in the spa. Whoever said Facebook was not good for you doesn’t know how to use it right.

There was friends and kids and chicken nuggets and water. There was good conversation and the kids were able to occupy themselves by pouring toys all over my recently cleaned floor and even though I had to tidy them all up after it was well worth it. I whole heartedly believe the whole point of cleaning your house is so you can have people over.

Not content with simply having an awesome day, I decided to visit what everyone (okay just me) is calling our town’s vivid. Okay it was literally just two buildings with Christmas images on them, but you guys, there was snow!

Okay so when I say snow it was a couple of big foam machines blowing what I was assured was ‘completely non toxic’ alcohol and glycerin. It was fine… I did a big sneeze at the start and Mr 6 was coughing by the end but at least it was COVID safe due to the alcohol content.

And it made my children and the other roughly 10 there so happy. They had ‘snowball fights’, built tiny ‘snowmen’ and Miss 9 made herself a beard and played Santa.

My only regret today was that between the two awesome activities I had a little siesta. So now instead of sleeping I can lay awake worrying. Or I can knock a few blogs off my list. It’s a bit shit but it stops me from overthinking so Merry Christmas followers.
